▌Installing a 4G antenna
One 4G extender cable is provided with the interface module. Purchase 4G extender
cables as required. Table 1 lists 4G extender cables provided by Hewlett Packard
Enterprise. You can also use 4G extender cables from other vendors, for any
consequences resulting from which Hewlett Packard Enterprise assumes no
liabilities.

When you connect a 4G antenna to a JG743A/JG743B interface module, ensure a
minimum distance of 25 cm (9.84 in) between the 4G antenna and any other antenna
on the router. If an extender cable is used, ensure a minimum distance of 25 cm (9.84
in) between the 4G antenna and the router.

▌Installing a GPS antenna
When you connect a GPS antenna to a JG743A/JG743B interface module, ensure a
minimum distance of 25 cm (9.84 in) between the GPS antenna and any other
antenna on the router, and between the GPS antenna and the router.

▌Regulatory Compliance Information
The module must be installed and used in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s
instruction as described in the user documentation that comes with this product.

US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) EMC Compliance
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A
digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to
provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is
operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can
radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful
interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his
own expense.

This product complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the
following two conditions:
1. This device may not cause harmful interference.
2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that
may cause undesired operation.
If the customer modifies the equipment without the authorization of Hewlett Packard
Enterprise, which directly or indirectly contribute to the equipment incompliance with
FCC requirements for Class A digital devices, Hewlett Packard Enterprise is not
liable for such interference problem and the expenses incurred there from shall be
covered by the customers.
RF Requirements
RF exposure Hazard Warning
This device generates and radiates radio-frequency energy. To ensure compliance
with the requirements of FCC radio-frequency exposure, a minimum body to antenna
distance of 20cm (8 inch) must be maintained when the device is installed and
operated, and a minimum distance of 25 cm between the 4G antennas and between
the 4G antenna and the WiFi antenna is required to maintain compliance and
receiver reliability.
Antennas
Only use the supplied antenna. Unauthorized antennas, modifications or change to
the antennas could violate FCC regulations and void the user’s authority to operate
the equipment.
Canada regulatory compliance
ICES-003
This Class A digital apparatus complies with Canadian Standard ICES-003.

Operation is subject to the following three conditions: (1) this device may not cause

To reduce potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain
should be so chosen that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP) is not
more than that required for successful communication. To prevent radio interference
to the licensed service, this device is intended to be operated indoors and away from
windows to provide maximum shielding. Equipment (or its transmit antenna) that is
installed outdoors is subject to licensing.
