Use the Aver Document Camera with a SMART Board Materials: ● AverMedia document camera ● Power cord ● usb cord ● AverSphere software Procedure: 1. Download and install AverSphere software from here. (Sphere User Manual) 2. Plug one end of the the power cord into the document camera, and the other end into an electrical outlet. 3. Connect the USB cable to the document camera and a usb port on the computer, OR the docking station if using the Lenovo Helix ThinkPad. If you connect to the docking station then the Helix must be connected to the docking station to use the doc cam. 4. Connect a projector to the computer and turn it on, facing the SMART Board. 5. Place the object or paper under the document camera. 6. Open the Sphere software by selecting the shortcut on your desktop. 7. The image of the object or paper will appear on the SMART Board. You can use a SMART Board pen to write on the image, or open SMART Notebook, select View from the menu > Transparent Background, and use the mini toolbar that will appear from SMART Notebook. 8. Click the three dots for additional tools, like a shade screen or creative pens. 9. Click the arrow on the mini toolbar to change to a different tool, or to close out of the programs­ AverSphere and SMART Notebook.
