The mission of the Italian G7 Presidency will be “Building the Foundations of Renewed Trust”
through the three pillars of:
1. Citizen safety
i. Assuage worries of citizens in a time of geopolitical instability
ii. Focus on foreign policy and security issues
iii. Provide stability in the SSA and MENA regions
iv. Safely manage current migrant and refugee flows
2. Economic, Environmental and Social Sustainability and Reduction of Inequalities
i. Application of Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development
ii. Focus on:
a. Energy and climate change (The Paris Agreement, the role of green finance,
energy security, gas markets and renewables)
b. Food security and nutrition (zero hunger)
c. Health
