Revolving Nosepiece
Holds the objectives and can be turned to change from one objective to
another.
Low Power Objective
Contains the lens with low-power magnification up to 4X.
High Power Objective
Contains the lens with the most magnification from 10X to 43X.
Oil Immersion Objective
Contains the lens necessary to observe bacteria….100X.
Stage Clips
Holds the slide in place.
Diaphragm
Located under the stage and controls the amount of light passing through
the specimen.

Magnifies the image-usually 10X.

Coarse Adjustment Knob
Moves the stage up and down in large increments and focuses the image
under low power.
Fine Adjustment Knob
Moves the stage slightly and sharpens the image under high and low
magnification.
