Media Advisory - Magellan Fuel Recall Status

The recalled fuel was dispatched from the Magellan facility during the period of August 23 to
August 29 from one of six delivery bays.

See OCC and Magellan lists below to check facility status. These lists will be updated as more
information is available.

For those consumers who think they might have purchased some of the fuel in question but there
are no driveability issues, it is advised that you add 100 percent gasoline to the tank as a safety
measure.

Statement from Magellan: “If a gasoline consumer purchased the affected fuel during the period
of August 23, 2016 through August 29, 2016 from a retail outlet included on the most recent
version of list “Fuel Recall” list and has a concern regarding the compatibility of the affected
fuel, we encourage you to contact their mechanic or automobile dealer to discuss options to
resolve the issue. Affected gasoline consumers should contact their gasoline retailer if they wish
to file a potential claim. Magellan will cover all legitimate claims. Contact Magellan at 1 855 378

The majority of the affected gasoline with higher than intended ethanol content has been safely recovered and
replaced with on-specification fuel allowing gasoline retailers to return to normal operations. All affected
gasoline in Tulsa has been completely recovered and replaced and we have made significant progress in the
greater Oklahoma City and other affected areas. We expect to recover and replace the remainder of the affected
gasoline tomorrow.
We wish to apologize to our customers, the fuel distributors, retail gasoline marketers, fuel consumers, state
regulators and our fellow Oklahomans that have been affected by this unfortunate incident.

Magellan equipment error addressed by 7-Eleven Stores
OKLAHOMA CITY – As of 2 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 7-Eleven Stores in Central Oklahoma
has analyzed and corrected any issues identified that might be connected to an equipment failure
from Magellan Midstream Partners L.P.
7-Eleven Stores was contacted by Magellan on Tuesday, Aug. 30, and was provided notice of a
Magellan blending failure. 7-Eleven immediately assembled a team and deployed the resources
necessary to quickly assess the fuel blends in all potentially affected tanks and correct any
improper mixes.
The fuel at 7-Eleven is the highest quality available, and every single gallon is guaranteed, as it
has been for over 50 years.
7-Eleven has compiled a short list of locations that may have received improperly blended fuel,
and has provided it to Magellan and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. Any call 7-Eleven
receives from customers concerning this issue will be referred to Magellan. 7-Eleven will do all
we can to support our customers, and help them through the process of contacting Magellan.
Magellan has publicly vowed to do the right thing, and to address any issues that customers may
have as a result of Magellan’s equipment failure.
Every fuel retailer in this market receives fuel that comes through a terminal bay similar to the
one that failed at Magellan. We credit Magellan with stepping up and taking responsibility for
this failure, and for vowing to put fuel customer concerns at the very top of their priority list.
