Listening Paper (maximum point score: 36):
This paper asks you to complete a variety of tasks once you have listened to a short recording of
spoken Spanish. The tasks vary but could include matching, gap filling and answering questions in
English.
Reading paper (maximum point score: 36):
This paper will contain a variety of questions for example true or false exercises, gap filling and
reading paragraphs in Spanish and answering questions in English.
Writing Paper (maximum point score: 36):
This paper asks you to complete 2 written tasks: writing phrases in Spanish from pictures and then
writing up to 150 words in Spanish about something we have covered in class.
How to Revise:
1. Make sure that you can translate all of the vocab from your holidays vocabulary sheet, from
English into Spanish with correct spellings and that you know what they all mean. Plan for
about 15 -20 minutes per section (you have already learned all of them for the vocab tests or
in class– so hopefully it won’t take too long to remember them!).
2. You will be asked to write up to 150 words in Spanish from what we have covered in lessons
so far. Think about what this could be about and get prepared! You will need to know how
to use different tenses, opinions and reasons in your writing, so revise these carefully.
