We look forward to seeing all of our students return on Monday, January 4, 2010. *Yearbooks Yearbook orders can be made on-‐line by linking from the bottom of our school webpage. http://ww2.d46.org/school-‐fs.asp The price for yearbooks, is $14 through December 31st. Select beginners who tried out for solos and small ensembles also performed. They did a great job in front of their peers. Our fifth and sixth grade choral members has a chance to perform with the Grayslake Middle School chorus and band students this past Monday. They also did a great job. Mr. Rivera asks that all band members continue to practice over break. *Food Drive Thank you to all of our students and families for their participation in our annual food drive. Our food drive was held in conjunction with Grayslake Central and North High Schools, Grayslake Middle School, and the Grayslake Lions Club. This year we served 132 families totaling 653 people. In total, we collected approximately 6,000 pounds of dried and canned food. The Lions Club added a turkey, potatoes, apples, and milk for each family. Extra collected food was taken to the Avon Food Pantry. Classroom winners for Frederick School: 1st – Leon (175 food items) 2nd –DePaz (164 food items) 3rd – Muszynski (161 food items) All three classes won a pizza party sponsored by Grayslake Central High School. *Student Council Student council members helped out at a local senior center last Friday by calling out the weekly BINGO numbers and handing out prizes they had collected. Another great way to give back to our community. *PTO News The PTO wishes everyone a safe and happy winter break. See you in the new year! *Read to Succeed: Students at Frederick School will again participate in the Six Flag's -‐ Read To Succeed, six hour reading club.
Pídele a tu padre, madre o
