PREAMBLE
Introduction:
Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency (TNeGA), the State Nodal Agency under Information
Technology Department registered under the Societies Act 1975 was formed to support
and drive all the e-Governance initiatives and schemes of the Government with the
objective of making all Government services, wherever feasible, accessible to the
common man in an efficient and transparent manner. As part of
e-Governance most of the services are delivered to the citizen in the electronic format. To

methods prescribed in the IT Act 2010 and subsequent amendments. In order to digitally
sign the documents, the digital signature key token are being issued by the Certifying

signing the electronic document, it is proposed to introduce Aadhaar based e-Sign.
About e-Sign:
e-Sign facilitates digitally signing a document by an Aadhaar holder using an Online
