Presentation
Whitney Winn from the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project will speak on
Thursday, May 22.
The Dulles Corridor Dulles Metrorail Project will connect
Northern Virginia to the entire metropolitan Washington region.
Known as the Silver Line; the project is being built in two phases.
Phase 1 runs from the East Falls Church area westward with four
stations in Tysons Corner and one at the eastern edge of Reston at
Wiehle Avenue. The line merges with the existing line near I- 66
and the Dulles Connector Road and uses existing Orange Line
tracks through Arlington County into Washington D.C. all the way
to the Stadium Armory Station. From that point the Silver Line will
share the Blue Line tracks to Largo, Md. Phase 2 will have six stations and runs from the Wiehle-Reston East Station west through
Reston and Herndon to Dulles Airport and Route 772 in eastern
Loudoun County.

Family Member Induction Ceremony
Ashburn Rotary held its first ever Family Member Induction
Ceremony on April 12th at Buffalo Wing Factory in
Ashburn. The club approved the new member program last
fall and inducted five new members. The new family program is in line with Rotary International President-Elect Gary
Huang's vision of growing Rotary membership and inviting
spouses and family members to join the club! The new
members are: Eddie Batten, Ashley Mitchell,
Shauna Olevson, Meredith
Schimmel and Adam Benware. Welcome!
