TO HAVE SUCCEEDED

A NUT & SHELLFISH AWARE
SCHOOL
TO HAVE SUCCEEDED
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by
a healthy child, a garden patch
or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed
easier because you have lived;
This is to have succeeded.

Dear Parents,
The school has been a hive of activity with the end of term looming and reporting due in
the next couple of days. We have also had a busy couple of weeks with sport activities
eating up a great deal of teaching time.
We would like to cordially invite all parents, grandparents and families to our Field
Events Carnival next Wednesday starting at 11.00a.m. and our Athletics Day next Friday, 20 June 2014 starting with the March Past at 9.00a.m. . Please come and support
your children on this wonderful day.
Student Supervision
Dates To Remember
Please be advised that supervision of children
can only be assured from 8:15 am onwards.
Students should definitely not be at school
before 8am. The safety of your child is our
paramount concern and your cooperation in
this regard is greatly appreciated.
JUNE 2014
TUCKSHOP
Athletics Day is on Friday 20th June and the
tuckshop will be operating. Please note that
there will be an altered menu so there is no
need to pre-order. Your child can bring their
money in on Friday & purchase their food and
drinks that day.
Helpers will be required throughout the day to
help prepare & serve food from 8.15am to
3.00pm. If you can help, come to the canteen
anytime during the day. Our objective is that
everyone gets to watch their child/children
participate. If you have half an hour to spare
between events please come and give us a
hand.

The second of the two Central Downs
District Gala Days was run last Thursday at Allora State School.
All students involved in netball, soccer and rugby league enjoyed a wonderful day of sportsmanship and competition with the many schools from
the district.
Our junior netballers won their division along with our junior and senior
rugby league teams.
Sport was the ultimate winner on the
day! Well done kids!
