12 June 2014 A NUT & SHELLFISH AWARE SCHOOL TO HAVE SUCCEEDED To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived; This is to have succeeded. Ralph Waldo Emerson Dear Parents, The school has been a hive of activity with the end of term looming and reporting due in the next couple of days. The second of the two Central Downs District Gala Days was run last Thursday at Allora State School. All students involved in netball, soccer and rugby league enjoyed a wonderful day of sportsmanship and competition with the many schools from the district. Our junior netballers won their division along with our junior and senior rugby league teams. Sport was the ultimate winner on the day! Well done kids!
