(NOTE: Support will cease at noon MDT)
All rides are on paved roads with wide shoulders except in city
limits, where tour path is on paved streets with light traffic.
Start/Finish will be at the Clovis Taco Box at 136 W. 21st St.,
Clovis.
The 60 mile ride will go from the Clovis Taco Box to the Portales
Taco Box and back. Ride is flat, with mild undulations. Portales
elevation (4006 ft.) is 262 ft below Clovis (4268 Ft.)
Map will be available online and in the rider packet, with turns
well marked. There will be rest stops at the turn around points.
Rest stops will have water and fruit as well as a Port a Potty.
There will be a sag wagon available. Packet pickup will be at the
start beginning at 6 AM on Oct. 7.
RULES AND SAFETY:
As we are concerned for the safety of the riders, all riders must
wear approved helmets and observe all traffic laws and the law
enforcement officials of the cities, counties and state. Riders are
to ride no more than 2 abreast. Remember, this is a tour. Enjoy
the serenity of the High Plains of Eastern New Mexico.

Please read carefully before signing the waiver and release from liability
I know that cycling in a group event is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and cycle unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree
to abide by any decision of any official relative to my ability to safely complete Tour de Taco. I assume all risks associated with cycling in this event, including,
but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the traffic, railroad trains and railroad crossing, fixed or moving objects and the conditions of the
road.
All such risks being known and appreciated by me, having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry I, for
myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, heirs executors, administrators, legal representatives, assigns and successors in my interest hereby waive,
release and discharge Tucumcari Springwater & Seed Co. dba Taco Box, Boy Scout Troop 226 and all sponsors, their representatives and successors, law
enforcement agencies and all public entities from all claims of damages, demands, actions causes of actions or liabilities whatsoever of any kind arising out of
my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons and entities named in the
waiver.
I agree it is my sole responsibility to be familiar with the event conditions and the Tour de Taco course. I understand and agree that situations may arise
during the event which may be beyond the immediate control of the organizers and I understand that I must continuously ride so as not to endanger myself
or others. I also understand that I must wear a CPSC approved helmet and that I assume all responsibility for the condition and adequacy of my equipment.
I agree that the above statements are contractually binding and are not mere recitals and that this agreement may not be modified orally and a waiver or any
provision shall not be construed as a modification of any other provision herein or as a consent to any other provision herein or as a consent to any
subsequent waiver or modification.
I give full permission for use of my name and photograph in connections with Tour de Taco.
