Introduction
All India Farmer’s Alliance is a forum that
incorporates several grass root level farmer
organizations, cooperatives, Farmer Producer
Organizations (FPOs), Self Help Groups and other
farmer bodies, under its aegis for a common cause
of farmer’s welfare. These groups sought to
ameliorate poverty, poor profitability, low crop
prices, farm debt and other farm crisis by educating
and mobilizing farmers on these vital issues. The
critical role of All India Farmer’s Alliance is to
engage in policy debate at state and national level
with concerned agencies and stakeholders.
Vision
To bring together all local, state and national level
farmer’s organizations with the objective of
developing a pro-farmer and pro-agriculture
environment.
Mission
The mission is to represent and advocate on
behalf of farmers in the national and international
level policy discussions, which aims at their
sustainable livelihood.
Objectives
1. To provide a common and credible voice to
the farmers at national and international
platforms.
2. To be a national platform for knowledge
sharing, policy discussions and addressing
the issues at all the levels leading to
agricultural growth and prosperity.
3. To work for convergence and synergy of
agriculture-related thematic areas such as
natural resources, seeds, irrigation,
energy and other agricultural inputs,
agro-processing, commodity prices etc.
