This module explores Europe’s medieval past in its full diversity and complexity. HST4309B Europe in a Global Context since 1800 This module explores the complexities and contradictions of Europe from the 1930s to the present. In the19th century the ideals of nationalism were associated with progress, emancipation and liberalism, but in the 20th century they became vectors of exclusion, authoritarianism and even genocide.
