Wear your blue & white, eat a hot-dog, and cheer on the Yankees with us! $18 Sept 19 Community Service: 30th Annual Beach Clean-up Join fellow international students and local residents for the 30th annual International Beach Clean-Up Day. Spend the day at iconic Coney Island picking up waste left on the beach, then enjoy an afternoon picnic on the sand with new friends. $10 Sept 25 One To World Walk: Chinatown’s Changing Landscapes We are partnering with the Museum of Chinese in America for a fascinating gallery exhibition about Chinatown in the post September 11th era, followed by a walking tour of this historic and culturally diverse neighborhood. Join us for an insider’s look at modern Chinatown! $18 Sept 26 Global Classroom Training Learn about One To World’s unique Global Classroom program that allows you to share your home country and culture with NYC public school children. We will teach you how to improve your public speaking skills and deliver an interactive presentation. Spend the day learning how to be a Global Guide! FREE October Oct 10 Community Visit: Discover New York Welcome to New York! Spend the day with a “real” New Yorker visit their home, share lunch, and explore their favorite things to do in the city. A great opportunity to learn about American life and culture through the eyes of the people who live here. $15 Oct 17-18 Community Visit: UN Weekend in Mountain Lakes, NJ In honor of United Nations Day, families in this beautiful town of New Jersey open their homes to international students for a weekend of American hospitality and cultural exchange. $20 Oct 24 One To World Walk: Discover Harlem Explore historic Harlem on a tour led by a specialist in Manhattan's December African-American influences. Discuss and debate topics on this year’s theme of ‘Confronting Inequality: Wealth, Rights, & Power,’ with American college students & foreign affairs professionals from around the country. Get a rare, inside look at the U.S. Military Academy. $115 + train care items to the homeless population of New York City in partnership with the non-profit organization, Midnight Run. Come help the homeless of New York City by distributing food that you helped to prepare. $15 We organize a variety of additional monthly events including our Cultural Cuisine dinners at restaurants around NYC, and offer discounted tickets to sporting events and concerts.
