Metric Measurement Vocabulary
Words
1. Length – the measurement of how long something is; measured
in meters, decimeters, millimeters, centimeters, kilometers.
10 centimeters = 1 decimeter
10 millimeters = 1 centimeter
100 centimeters = 1 meter
1,000 meters = 1 kilometer

This week’s College and Career Readiness
Standards for math:
3.MD.2 – Measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects
using standard units of grams kilograms and liters. Add, subtract,
multiply, or divide to solve one-step word problems involving masses or
volumes that are given in the same units, to represent the problem.
3.MD.3 – Draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to
represent a data set with several categories. Solve one-and two-step
“how many more” and “how many less” problems using information
presented in scaled bar graphs.

for faster delivery!) We have 23 students in
our class. Individually wrapped candy
or other edible items will also be
allowed!
