Outlined below are the waste services as of March 6, 2017. Garbage and Recycling Schedule Monday Garbage Tuesday Garbage, recycling & cardboard Wednesday Garbage Thursday Garbage Friday Garbage Saturday Garbage There is no Sunday collection. Do not leave items out over the weekend. Garbage collection runs daily, Monday to Saturday, 6 a.m. • Garbage bags are not allowed to be placed to the curb during business hours. Garbage bags can be placed at the curb between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Sunday to Friday only. • Limit of 10 bags, maximum weight 23 kg (50 pounds) per bag. • Bag all loose items. Garbage bags must be securely tied closed. • Please ensure that waste is placed neatly and does not obstruct pedestrian walkways. • Curbside collection runs every holiday except December 25 and January 1. Blue box recycling is collected once per week, on TUESDAY only. • Use one blue box for containers (bottles, cans, cartons), and • A second blue box for paper and plastic bags. Cardboard is collected once per week, on TUESDAY only. NEW Flatten and tie cardboard into bundles for collection. No loose cardboard. • Maximum size 75 x 75 x 20 cm (30 x 30 x 8 inches). • Do not use a cardboard box as a garbage can or recycling box. MONDAY TO SATURDAY 10 BAG LIMIT TUESDAY PAPER & Apple Juice PLASTIC BAGS TUESDAY Remove any waste containers and any uncollected waste item from the curb immediately after collection. Set out and removal times are enforced under Regional Municipality of Waterloo Collection By-law. Please help keep your business area clean. To ensure everything gets collected: These items are NOT collected: • Bag all small, loose items. • Do not use a cardboard box as a garbage can or a recycling box. • Have your items out before 6 a.m. • Loose garbage. • Cardboard boxes full of garbage or recycling. • Batteries, chemicals. • Computers, TVs, VCR s, monitors. • Broken glass or mirrors. • Pallets. Flatten and tie cardboard in bundles for collection. Maximum size 75 x 75 x 20 cm (30 x 30 x 8 inches). Sort your recycling into two containers!
