Hi Kim,
It was our pleasure! There's so much positive energy in the store today, not from all
of the sales, but from all of the excitement of having so many happy teachers
yesterday! (Don't get me w rong, this is a great place to work, and there's a Jot of
wonderful support here. It's rather like the day after Christmas, when you're still full
from Christmas dinner and all the toys are still new and exciting.) Personally, I got a
real kick out of meeting so many teachers whose names I know from the Library
Building order.
Just fyi, the winners

What a super fun time! Your teachers were all so nice and patient!! I'm organizing the
receipts at the moment - the major rush is over. I know several teachers were counting
on coming back later tonight, so I'm sure we're not done.
1don't have exact numbers yet, but it's a safe bet at this point that we've gone over the
$15,000 we talked about earlier. I was told you were working on increasing the PO to
$20,000, so we'll keep ringing teachers up here.
I'm heading home at 6:30, but I'll be back tomorrow to keep sorting receipts. I'll
definitely have them organized for Monday .
Thank you so much for making us a part of this fun! We're very grateful for the
business and super excited to have so many happy teachers in our store!!

That is true. I didn't think ofthat scenario. So we should say any purchase
cannot go over the $100.00 with tax included? That' s okay with me. We don't
need any more problems!

I am going to add my 2 cents in here and say that I agree with you . Our
county office is very concerned with fund usage and we are always
cautioned about anything that could appear to be a gift of public funds. I
understand what you are saying and if I were to guess, I doubt that our
internal business office would be ok with this type of a scenario.

Good Morning Vicki,
So, just to clarify, if a teacher's items end up being $1 02.60, they can pay the
$2.60 as cash or charge? SDUSD doesn't like this because it means that the
school district and teacher each own part of a book. If it's okay with you for this
particular round, I'll let my cashiers know
I wish you a great weekend, too!

Good Morning, Mary,
We can certainly make the changes and additions you requested. I'll
send you a sample of the revised copy for review on Monday. I love
the "SDCOE Teacher Party" description.

For anything over the $100.00 will have to be paid by the teacher
with their own funds.

Hi Vicki,
It was wonderful to meet you , too! Mone and I are very excited about
what we are calling the "SDCOE Teacher Party"!
The revised voucher looks great -I love the changes you have added,
including the balloons!
I'm not sure why, but the green part looks spotty on the attachment and
also spotty on the print out of the voucher- maybe use a different
font/color? The red looks fine.
I don't know exactly how to word it, but teachers will find it easier to
spend their money if they know that the pre-discount total they are going
for is about $123.00 worth of books (with the 25% discount and the 8%
tax, $123.00 becomes $99.63). They could use the calculators on their
phones to keep track.
If you can find room, maybe add small line on the voucher which says:
Certain items are excluded from the 25% discount, including COs, DVDs,
Vinyl Records, Magazines, NOOK Devices, text books, and some
professional books.
For our own purposes, if a teacher goes over the $100.00, can they pay
for the remaining balance with their own money? The usual answer
to purchaes with a PO is no, but I wanted to check and be sure, as I
know it will come up.
