The United Republic of Tanzania (hereinafter called “Borrower”)has received additional financing from the International Development Association (IDA) (hereinafter called “Credit”) towards the cost of Sustainable Management of Mineral Resources Project (SMMRP) and intends to apply part of this Credit to cover eligible payments for the procurement and training of 3D mining and geological software for STAMICO. 2. The Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM) now inviting sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Supply, installation and training of 3D mining and geological software for STAMICO. 3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and NonConsulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits &Grants by World Bank Borrowers of January 2011, Revised July 2014and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries. 4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM) and inspect the bidding documents at Address (1) given below from 08.00 to 15.00 hours, Mondays to Fridays inclusive, except on public holidays. 5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Address (1) below and upon payment of a non – refundable fee of TShs: 100,000/- (Tanzania shillings one hundred thousand only) or equivalent amount in any freely convertible currency. Ministry of Energy and Minerals will not be held responsible and accountable for any delays or non-receipt of the bidding documents. Bids must be delivered to the Address (1) below at or before 10.00 hours East African time on 31st August, 2016. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the Address (2) below immediately after the deadline of bids submission.All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration in an acceptable form as provided in the bidding document. 7.
