Hope Hope Quotes - Wredling Middle School

Hope
Raina B. Rich (7-1)
Hope is greater than depression.
Hope is greater than hurt and
exclusion. Hope is greater than
abuse. Hope is greater than many
unfortunate, negative things.
Hope Week is one of my favorite
events at Wredling. I love that it’s
all about helping and supporting
people. This event makes me feel
like everyone has so much power. It
makes me feel that we can beat
anything that stands in our way. We
are one, strong community that has
the drive and determination to
conquer anything.
Hope Week is a week long, hence
the name. Each day, there is a
different event or activity to support
Hope. The first day, there were
announcements throughout the day
showing different students’ “30
Seconds of Hope”. The second day,
students from St. Charles East High
School came in and talked to the
lunch hours about the Hope Hustle.
The Hope Hustle is a fundraiser
event held at East High School. If
decide to participate, you pay a
certain amount of money and then
you get to take part in an event of
your choice.
The rest of the week, Suicide
Prevention ribbons were distributed
to the students, Hope tee shirts were
sold, some students were selected
to put their handprints on the wall
in the lunchroom hallway, and
coping-strategy bingo was played! I
strongly support all Hope-related
events and I encourage that you
should as well!
Hope is a wonderful act of
positivity and even when times are
tough, I motivate you all to stay
strong and have hope!
Hope Quotes
These quotes were read by 8th grade students over the PA system at various times
during the day during HOPE week. The goal was to share these words of hope
with the entire school.
“You may not always have a
comfortable life. You will not
always be able to solve all of the
world’s problems at once, but
don’t ever underestimate the
importance you can have
because history has shown us
that courage can be contagious
and hope can take on a life of its
own!”

“Hope is not a dream, but a way
of making dreams become
reality!”

pretty, others may think it’s quite
silly. Beauty is just a state of

beauty is silly. I don’t need the
world to tell me I’m pretty!”

there is light despite all of the
darkness.”

little hope and somebody who
believes in them.”

“Never let go of hope! One day
you will see that it all has finally
come together. What you have
always wished for has finally
come to be. You will look back
and laugh at what has passed
and you will ask yourself, How
did I get through all of that?”
