INDOOR POOL INFORMATION AND RULES
The indoor pool programming hours change monthly. Please pick up a calendar at front desk or go on-line at
cityofberea.org to see a current aquatic facility calendar. Pool closes 30 minutes prior to facility closing.
Pool Dimensions and Depth: 25 yds; 4 lane width. Depth 3’6” to 7’ deep. NO DIVING!
Pool Temperature: Pool is set for 85 degrees. A degree difference up or down is still acceptable. Recreational
swimming standards are between 78 - 85 degrees. We serve a diverse population of swimmers. We attempt to
satisfy to the best of our ability both recreational and therapeutic swimmers. Daily pool temperatures can be
obtained by calling our Activity Hotline at 440-234-6020 which is updated daily when we open.
Pool is closed during classes. During The Achievement Center’s Adaptive learn to swim lessons, the pool is not
closed but we ask patrons to be respectful to the instructors teaching. The Sauna, Steam room and Whirlpool
are open during classes provided patrons are not being disruptive.
Patrons under the age of 15 are NOT permitted in the Steam room/Sauna or Whirlpool regardless of a legal
guardian present or not. rev. 2-1-14. This is due to the health effects of high heat and humidity have on the
body.

1. OBEY LIFEGUARDS AT ALL TIMES
2. NO RUNNING
3. NO DIVING PERMITTED
4. ROUGH OR DANGEROUS PLAY SUCH AS PUSHING, SHOVING, DUNKING, SPLASHING IS PROHIBITED
5. USE OF PROFANE LANGUAGE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED
6. GOGGLES THAT COVER THE NOSE, SNORKELS, INFLATABLES OF ANY KIND ARE NOT PERMITTED
7. CHILDREN WEARING COAST GUARD APPROVED PFD’s MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT IN THE WATER AT ARMS-LENGTH
8. NO GLASS, FOOD, DRINK, GUM, OR ANYTHING THAT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE POOL OR FILTER
9. LAP LANES ARE FOR LAP SWIMMERS ONLY PLEASE SHARE THE LANE IF ASKED
10. CHILDREN WHO ARE NOT TOLIET TRAINED MUST WEAR SWIM DIAPERS OR RUBBER PANTS
11. PATRONS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE POOL AREA DURING SCHEDULED CLASSES
12. DO NOT HANG ON LANE LINES OR ROPE
13. CHILDREN 8 OR UNDER NEED TO BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AND IN THE POOL
14. PROPER SWIM ATTIRE REQUIRED- NO CUT-OFFS, GYM SHORTS, ETC...
15. NO PLAYING ON OR NEAR STAIRS OR LADDERS
16. PATRONS WITH OPEN SORES, LESIONS OR COMMUINICABLE DISEASES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ENTRY
17. NO STREET SHOES ON POOL DECK
18. NO PATRONS UNDER 15 ALLOWED IN SAUNA, STEAM ROOM OR WHIRLPOOL
