WOMAN’S HISTORY PROJECT
MS. BENDA
This project is intended to help celebrate Women’s History Month.
There are actually 3 steps to this assignment.
1. select and research one of the women listed
2. create a 5 slide PowerPoint presentation and oral
presentation
3. complete the poster document given to you
PowerPoint rubrics:
1. you must create 5 slides
- title slide which includes the name of the person, a
picture of them, and your name.
- second slide is background information
- third slide is major contribution to society
- fourth slide is how this contribution affected society
- fifth slide is your conclusion
2. pictures/graphics may be included on each slide
3. sentences should NOT be used on the slide! You should
write phrases from which you will give your oral report. You
will NOT be allowed to read from the slide or a paper. The
slides will serve as your notecards.
4. I strongly recommend that you use a clean type style that is
easy to read. (Arial and Times New Roman are excellent
choices.)
Poster Document Rubric
1. follow the requirements listed on the sheet that follows
2. work may be handwritten (drawn) or you may cut and paste
your work from the computer.
3. color should be introduced so that the poster has ‘eye
appeal’
4. understand each student will receive only ONE poster so
work with care!
