4.
Draw a quadrilateral whose vertices are (3,2), (2,3), (-4,5) and (5,-3)
The perpendicular distances from the respective axis are given as follows.
Write the co-ordinates and the quadrant in which it lies.
(i) distance from the x-axis is 4 units and that from the y-axis is 5 units
(ii) 3 units above the x-axis and 2 units to the left of the y-axis
(iii)4 units below the x-axis and 7 units to the left of the y-axis
ABC and ABD are equilateral
triangles. The coordinates of A and B
are(-a,0) and (a,0). Find the coordinates of points C and D.
Answer the following :
(i) coordinates of B
(ii)abscissa of point D
(iii)ordinate of point F
(iv) coordinates of E
(v) abscissa of point C
5.
Find the image of point (2,3 ) with respect to x-axis.
6.
Find the image of point (-4,-7) with respect to y-axis.
7.
Section-B
Solve using appropriate Euclid’s axioms
It is known that x + y = 10 and that x = z. Show that z + y = 10.
8.
In the fig; AB = BC, M is the midpoint of AB and N is the mid-point
of BC. Show that AM = NC
9.
In the figure we haveABC = ACB
and 3 = 4. Show that 1=2.
10. In the figure, we have AC = DC, CB = CE. Show that AB = DE
