1 Kings 19:1-18
One Step Closer Every Day
Spend a few minutes every day, reading, meditating and praying with
God so that you can take one step closer to Jesus every day.
Day 1 – 1 Kings 19:1-9 – Have you ever been so frustrated
and afraid that you just wanted to give up? How do you
reconnect with God after something like that?
Day 2 – John 10:1-21 – Can you recognize God’s voice above
all the other noise? What can you do to tune your ear to
God’s voice?
Day 3 – 1 Kings 19:10-18 – Why do you think God chose to
speak to Elijah in a whisper? How does God speak to
you?
Day 4 – Matthew 3:1-17 – How do you think God’s voice
shaped Jesus’ ministry and identity? What would you like
to hear God say about you?
Day 5 – Exodus 33:12-23 – Why do you think God told Moses
he could not see God’s face? What does it mean to you
that God is Holy?
Day 6 – Philippians 1:12-30 – Paul wanted to give up, but
God had other plans. How do you handle it when you feel
like giving up?
Day 7 – Jonah 4:1-11 - Jonah was so frustrated he wanted to
die. How do you handle anger, frustration and fear?

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - JUNE 12 - 16, 2017
VBS NEEDS YOUR HELP! VBS needs all kinds of gadgets and
gizmos for a project. Here are some examples: nuts, bolts,
screws, slinkies, small boxes, cups, styrofoam balls, pipe
cleaners, wire, aluminum pie plates, wooden beads (especially
with holes for stringing), pool noodles, rulers, Christmas tree
stands, funnels, wood blocks, knobs, paper towel and toilet
paper rolls, cans without sharp edges. We need LOTS. Don't
limit yourself to this list but be creative - just nothing GIANT medium to large is okay. Put them in the box in the Gathering
Space or contact Kathy at [email protected].
Mission Opportunity – Please donate items to the Ronald
McDonald House Wish List Drive April 23-May 21. Drop
off donations in the Gathering Space. A list of suggested
donations are available in the back of the sanctuary or

Shiloh Leadership Board Meeting – This Tuesday, May 16,
7:30pm in Asbury Hall at the Delhi Campus. All are
welcome to attend. Please contact Pastor Dave If you’d

Blue Prayer Cards - Fill out a blue prayer card and pass
it to an usher BEFORE the offering if you’d like a
name to be read during the pastoral prayer.
Otherwise just drop it in the offering plate, and our
pastors and Prayer Team will pray over it this week.
