Submitting an MHR

An MHR can be submitted by;
 Your Returns Manager
Step
1.
Description
Select the MHR
From your Client Dashboard  Returns  Monthly Harvest Returns
Select the Submit hyperlink for the Month/Year of the return.
The MHR will open ready for details

Complete Section 1 – Catch details
If you are submitting a nil return select ‘No’ in the catch to report drop down – Go to
step 4
If you have catch to enter, select ‘Yes’ in the catch to report drop down
Enter the Stock and Catch details. Only valid stock codes and whole amounts for catch
can be entered.
Select Add Another Stock to add each catch line
Select the X to delete a catch line
After entering a Catch amount, TAB and Enter keys will also add another catch line.

Complete section 2 – Vessel details
Any vessels registered to you will be listed.
Select the tickbox to add these vessels to the MHR.
To add other vessels, select the Or find and add another operators vessel hyperlink
This will open a search box for other vessels.
Search by Vessel Reg ID or Vessel Name to find a vessel.
Select Add Vessel to add this vessel to the MHR.
Untick any tickboxes to remove vessels from the MHR

Complete MHR
To submit the MHR, select Complete MHR
Alternatively:
To save the MHR without submitting it, select Save Draft MHR. You can then come
back and add further details later.
NOTE: You have not met your reporting obligations until you have selected
Complete MHR

System process



The MHR is saved with a status of Completed
A diary event is created
The ACE & Catch screen is updated
If the MHR was for a previous month





The MHR status will be updated to Balanced
A revised balance will be created
A diary event and notification will be generated for balancing
If the MHR is for the current fishing year;
o an interim DV calculation is made (if catch exceeds ACE held)
o a permit prohibition assessment performed and removed/placed if
necessary, with a diary event and notification generated.
If the MHR is for the past fishing year;
o an annual DV calculation is made (if overfished)
o an underfishing reassessment performed.
This process ends
