Grade: 3
Grade: 4
Grade: 5
Hi, my name is Charitha and I’m
Victoria! We are going to tell you
about our 3rd grade baby chicks.
First, they come to us as an egg,
and then a few weeks later they
will hatch into chicks. You can
watch them grow every day. As
they grow, we feed them and give
them water. When they hatch,
they are kept in a big and cozy
box.
Flowers are blooming
The pollen makes people sneeze!
Pretty colors are everywhere.
-Mingwei J. and Niyoosha S.
Rainy days have come.
People splash in the puddles.
They get soaking wet.

The region fair is on May 19th.
Region fair is only for 3rd graders.
Each class picks a song and Sings it
at the regions fair. Then all the
classes sing Fifty Nifty. Each kid
picks a state and makes a float.
For example, Srihith and Vivaan
did Colorado and North Carolina.
It would be awesome
If all the flowers of spring
If they sang to us!

New Harry Potter Series
Yeah, Yeah, I know you might be
thinking, “Why are you writing
about Health Class? EW!” Because
I don’t think the human body is
gross.
Health
Class
is
informational. Yes, you might
think it’s absolutely disgusting,
but would you rather learn it
sooner or later? That’s what I
thought!
So yes, it may be gross however,
learning about human growth will
help you learn about the other
gender. Like if a girl was crying
and you ask her why. If she says,
“I just feel sad” you’ll know why
instead of trying to find out what's
going on. You’ll leave her alone
and say, “Okay, well you can talk
to me if you need to.” That’s why
Health Class is informational.
Advaith N. and Ishaan J.
Grade: 3 and 5
Hey, Harry Potter fans; you might
be in for a treat. Because they’re
might be a new Harry Potter
series about a Harry Potter’s son,
James. It isn’t confirmed yet, but
they’re might be a new series. Get
ready for the adventures of James
Potter because Harry is getting a
little old. Keep with the times
people, keep with the times!

How to Take Care of Your
Own Puppy
Emily X.
Suprecell’s new game
Phillip A.
Grade: 5
Grade: 5
If you are thinking of adopting a
puppy, you should think about
where you live and your schedule.
Taking care of your own or
family’s puppy is a big
responsibility. When you choose a
puppy you need to make sure you
have a big enough home, that you
can play with the puppy enough,
and that you can walk it for
enough time. If you don’t have
enough time in your schedule for
the puppy of your choice then you
can ask your parents to hire a
puppy-sitter. You have to make
sure that your puppy has had a
check-up at the vet, knows where
to go to the bathroom, likes
his/her dog food, is social with
other dogs and people, and gets
trained so, he/she is obedient and
won’t make you or your family
mad or upset.
After all that, you should have a
great, wonderful, and obedient
puppy or dog!
So the game that supercell
released on March 4, 2016 is………
Clash Royale. So this game is like
Clash of Clans and it's also a
strategy but you don’t build things
like in clash of clans, boom beach,
or hay day. Those games are also
created by supercell. There are
new characters like the giant
skeleton, goblins with spear, and
more and some are just the
characters from clash of clans.
You can download it on the iPad,
which is ios or android. Have fun
playing.
Figure Skating
Mingwei J.
Grade: 4
Figure skating is my sport. It is
interesting and fun. I like skating,
because it's like zooming around
everywhere. My favorite moves
are actually the jumps, like Bunny
hops, Side-toe hops, Ballet jumps,
Mazurkas, Toe loops, Sowchows,
and Loops.
April and May 2016 Issue
I love competitions because they
are fun and you have a chance to
win. I have competed and I got
first place. I am working on my
Backspin, Loop, Toeloop, and
Sowchow.
My 10th Birthday
Amber S.
Grade: 4
My favorite birthday was
celebrated on Sunday March 20,
2016. One of the main reasons it
was my favorite was because I had
so much fun. To start off the day,
my parents woke me up and gave
me 10 birthday gifts. I was given a
gift for each of the 10 years. I
loved all of my gifts. Next, I went
ice-skating with my friends, it was
a lot of fun. Then, I went to my
birthday party at a craft place.
After my friends and I arrived, we
started painting what the teacher
had shown. First, we painted the
background, then while we
waited for that to dry we had
pizza and cake. Then, we painted
everything else. When my party
was finished, I went out to dinner
with a friend and family. At the
end of the day, I was very tired
and extremely happy about how
my day was. It was truly one of my
favorite birthdays of all.

Porky’s Story
Abby W. and Kate-Lyn J.
Grade: 5
There was once a pig named
Porky. He was the most famous
pig of all. The townspeople even
named the town after him.
Porktown was his hometown. He
still lives there to this day! He lives
in his luxury condo by the
waterfalls; Bacon Falls. Many
humans come here in hope of
actual falling bacon. Sadly, when
they make their visit, they are…
uh… disappointed. So anyway,
Porky grew up to be a decent
young man-pig. I mean pig. He
decided to go on a journey to find
treasure! He packed up his things,
consisting of some shovels and
other tools, and of course, 200
pairs of clean underwear, and a
lot of snacks, and boarded his
pirate ship! He had soldiers with
pointy hats… there’s no point to
the pointy hats they just look cool
(pun not intended. (Haha yes it
was.) Then he set sail.
Once he set sail, he yelled to his
crew to hoist the anchor and the
flag up. The anchor down might
have been the reason why they
weren’t getting anywhere. That
night there was a beautiful
sunset. Porky almost cried. Don’t
judge him! Then his tears nearly
froze on his cheeks because he
heard a deep growl and a howling
sound, and he hoped it was the
friendly narwhals. He had a cousin
narwhal. Don’t ask. But his hopes
were shattered when an angry
coyote pack jumped out from a
nearby forest. Porky screamed!
They were coming straight for the
ship! He ordered his crew to turn
away from land. But it was too
late. They were toast.
TO BE CONTINUED...
PORKY PART 2!
Kate-Lyn J. and Abby W.
Grade: 5
We left you at a cliffhanger. Well
we’re back! When you last saw
Porky, he found himself some
coyote friends. Except they
weren’t friends…
The coyotes came after Porky and
his crew. They tore up the whole
stern of the ship. Porky was
almost as torn as the ship was. But
alas, his Sword of Peace. With one
slash, all of the coyotes would
drown in the surrounding sea.
Porky lowered his sword. Eh,
thought Porky. Lets save it for
another time. Porky’s crew
patched up the back of the boat
like it was new and drove away.
See you later coyotes! thought
Porky. As Porky and his crew
sailed
away,
they
were
disappointed that they didn’t find
any treasure.
Yet...
April and May 2016 Issue
A few days after traveling the sea,
they saw some land! “LAND HO!
LAND HO!” shouted one of the
crew members. They had found
land- but not just any land- this
tropical island that lay ahead was
soon to be Porky Island. Porky
Island had everything they
needed. They soon arrived at a
mysterious piece of machinery.
Some of the crew members
walked through it, and they
somehow disappeared into thin
air. “It MUST be a teleporter!”
Captain Porky exclaimed, using
that great mind of his. “But where
did
it
take
them?”
Porky
question.
Porky decided to
see for himself.
He
stepped
through
the
teleporter, cautiously. Porky fell
in and all he saw was his own
island. “Porky…?” said a familiar
voice. “Porkkkyyyyyyy…….?” said
the voice. Porky slowly opened his
eyes to find his wife looking down
at him. “PORKY!! I MISSED
YOUUUUUUUUU!!!!”
Porky
jumped up and hugged his wife.
They were so happy to be
reunited!
“I just have one question.”
“What, honey?”
“How did you just come through
the basement floor like that?’
THE END!!!!!!!

Fashion Office: D&A’s
Anshu S. and Diya P.
Grade: 5
Hello, my name is Anshu and my name is Diya, and we are
the CEOs of D&A’s! We sell jewelry, we also sell designs that
you can take to the tailor, and you can get it sewed there for
you. We will be getting a sewing machine to make those
beautiful designs into beautiful clothing that you will adore.
We will also be getting a mannequin to put our designs and
clothing on. Here’s the history of our amazing journey that
made our Fashion Office become a dream come true...
Diya’s Point of View
I was playing outside when a moving van parked right in
front of house 108 and out came movers that held moving
boxes full of things. My sister, my friend, and I knew right
away that we were getting new neighbors. My sis and I ran
inside to make a card. A few days later, I was going to the
new girl’s house almost every day… Her name was Anshu.
One day, when I was at her house, we were feeling very
bored. Then, since I knew that Anshu likes fashion like me, I
asked, “Do you want to make a Fashion Office?” It was
absolutely out of the blue. She liked the idea. We used
Anshu’s extra room in her basement. We made desks out of
moving boxes (since she has a lot of them!), and used
Anshu’s necks, hand, and tiny body mannequins. We also
used beads, string, and a calendar. We hired my friend,
Tanvi as our Secretary, and my sister, Shriya, as our
Planner/Assistant. We made the Office what it is now, and
we will continue to upgrade it!
Anshu’s Point of View
On March 14 last year, I was moving into my big, elegant,
brand, new house. I was helping my mom move some stuff,
until I saw three girls looking at my new home. I asked them
what their names were and later in life we all became great
friends. After a few days, Diya (one of the three girls),
became my best friend as we played together every day. We
also shared many same interests and one of them was
fashion designing. On a hot summer day, while playing
April and May 2016 Issue
indoors popped an excellent idea to build a fashion office. It
was named D&A’s and the CEOs were Diya and me. D&A’s
was used for us to make fashion designs and for the
customers to take them to the tailor. To make the Fashion
Office successful we used my fashion supplies and some
colored paper, a necklace kit, and also some art supplies.
Later, when got really serious about the Fashion Office, we
hired Diya’s sister, Shriya, and a very good friend, Tanvi to
help us become successful. We used one of Tanvi’s business
books to make business cards, receipts, price tags, and
business tips.
Diya’s Point of View
Anshu and I learned that her basement room, where our
fashion office is, wouldn’t be available anymore. So my
mom jumped in. She is a Lifesaver…She said that Anshu and
I could “renovate” my garage into our fashion office. My dad
is traveling a lot because of his job, and therefore his car will
be, usually, at the airport. My mom is going to move her car
on our driveway. All our outdoor things will be moved to the
wall. I AM GOING TO BE SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!
Anshu’s Point of View
Since we were new to this house, we were redecorating all
rooms and the room we used for the fashion office was
going to be my parent’s gym. I didn’t know how to tell Diya
that we needed to move D&A’s because she counted on me.
So, one day Diya came to my house to play and I blurted out
the news. “Diya, I’m really sorry but we won’t have the
fashion office in our house,” I said. Then, after a few days
Diya gave me the awesome news in a small letter/card that
her garage will be the new address of D&A’s.And I was as
EXCITED as my business partner, Diya!!!!!!!!!!
After relocating D&A, the Grand Opening will follow on
Saturday , May 21st, 2016. We will be distributing coupons
to everyone that comes to the Grand Opening. The whole
store will be 20% off. Make sure you come to 103 Palsgrove
Way in Reserve at Eagle Village. HOPE TO SEE YOU
THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coco Chanel. You must have
heard the name. Hi, my name is
Diya, and welcome to Week 2 of
my Fashion Blog! This is also the
last article for my blog, for we will
be closing Newspaper Club. I will
be telling you for my last article
about COCO CHANEL; The
Greatest Fashion Designer History
Has Ever Known!!!!!!
One day I went to the Tennis
court. First, I got a ball. Next I held
my Tennis racket. Then I did my
pose to hit the ball. Last I hit the
ball. I was
so
impressed.
I did it
again.
You might heard a while ago that
our team the Villanova Wildcats
had won the whole March
Madness
tournament!
It
definitely wasn’t easy though!
Our home team had to undergo
lots of training before and during
the tournament from their very
own coach Jay Wright. Anyways
let’s get right back in business and
talk ‘bout how they won.
“Swish!” Joe Berry was with
another 3-pointer. This guy
probably would be the Stephen
Curry of Basketball in College. It
looked bad for the Wildcats. They
were approximately 4 sec. left in
the championship, and change.
They needed a miracle. Kris
Jenkins brings the ball up, and
shoots for the miracle. IT’S GOOD!
The Wildcats had pulled off a
miracle for the ages!
If you want to be on TV and have
a good time like the Wildcats, join
Villanova on a basketball
scholarship, and be a game
changer! #GOWILDCATS!
