The drop-side rail hardware on the cribs can break or fail, allowing the drop side to detach from the crib.
When the drop side detaches, a hazardous gap is created between the drop-side rail and the crib mattress in
which infants and toddlers can become wedged or entrapped, posing risks of suffocation and strangulation.
In addition, children can fall out of the crib when the drop-side rail falls unexpectedly or detaches from the
crib. Drop-side rail failures can also occur due to incorrect assembly or with age-related wear and tear.

The oversized plastic toy nails can pose a choking hazard to young children.
Little Tikes has recently identified two additional incidents, which occurred in the United States in 1997 and
2003, of children who choked when the toy nail became lodged in their throat. Both children were treated in
a hospital and made a full recovery.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.
For some tips to help consumers choose safe toys and to help them keep children safe when they play with
toys, see Health Canada's Toy Safety Tips.
Consumers should immediately take the toy nails away from children and contact Little Tikes for a free
replacement toy nail.
For more information, consumers may contact Little Tikes at 1-800-321-0183 between 8AM and 8PM ET
Monday through Friday or visit the firm's website.
