MOOSE TALES
Administrator’s Message
Sometimes, it is
good to reflect.
Let’s take a minute
to think about
when and why you
may have become
a Moose member.
For a lot of people, it was because they wanted a place that
was not a bar. Others like the
fraternal aspect of the Moose.
Thinking about both of these reasons and every member’s pledge
to help grow the order by sponsoring others of good character, I
wonder if we think about how
we look to new people that visit
our lodge and are maybe thinking of joining. Are we open, in-
viting, and friendly? Do we
seem like a place that is
more than a bar? Just take a
minute to think about how
we could look if we are always
using profane language or flipping our ashes in an overflowing
ash tray instead of taking a minute to maybe clean an area of
your lodge that you enjoy using.
Please take a minute and think of
how you can make your lodge a
better place for your fellow
members and prospective members. How we may be able to be
more active in our community as
well.
Finally, I want to take a minute
to say congratulations to
Dawn Mackland who
will be receiving her Red
Stole. This is the highest
degree that can be bestowed on a
WOTM. The presentation will be
the Tallahassee Lodge on Thursday, November 13th at 7:00 pm for
her and Roberta Davis, who also is
a member of the Quincy WOTM.
It is open to all members, both
men and women, so come out and
show them how proud we all are.
Fraternally,
Roy Rawlings
Administrator

will be selling doggy treats.
That’s right, we don’t want to
forget our best pals. These will
be homemade treats for dogs and
will be 20 treats for $5.00. A
portion of the proceeds will also
benefit the Gadsden County Humane Society. This is a win-win
for everyone! Look for an order
form in the next newsletter or at
the lodge. You don’t want to
miss getting some for your furchild.
Last but certainly not least, our
meeting this month is early: to
Wednesday, November 5th at
7:00 pm. Please plan to attend
so that we can plan more fund-
raising events and community service activities.
See you around the lodge.
