Gender and adjective agreement
• Nouns and pronouns that refer to men 'and boys are masculine.

.·Adjectives describe nouns: They have different forms that match the gender of
a noun or pronoun. Feminine: Adriana es alta. Masculine: Alejandro es alto.

same masculine and feminine forms. Ella es intelectual/inteligente. El es intelectual/inteligente.
• Exceptions: Adjectives that end in -or and adjectives of nationality that end in a, .

Nouns and definite articles
• All nouns in Spanish are masculine or feminine. Nouns can also be singular
(one thing or person) or plural (more than one thing or person). If a noun ends'
in a vowel, add -s to make it plural. If it ends in a consonant, add -es.
