3. Place the second O-ring between the window and the
window retaining ring and secure the retaining ring with the
screws provided.
4. Position the gas cell in the spectrometer sample
compartment or optical table.

Designed to fit commercial spectrometers and custom optical
tables, PIKE Technologies Stainless Steel Short-Path Gas Cells
are available in pathlengths of 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, and 20 cm. When
matched with a suitable window, the cell may be used under
pressure. All cells are delivered with welded VCR fittings.
To offer the greatest flexibility, users may optimize their
configuration further by choosing VCR and Swagelok valves and
1/4” compression fittings.
PIKE gas cells have been designed for easy maintenance and
cleaning. Our gas cells are baseplate-mounted for stability and
offer purge collars to eliminate atmospheric water vapor and
CO2 interferences in the spectrum. Contact PIKE Technologies
to retrofit existing short-path gas cells for heating.

ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
1. Insert the O-rings into the O-ring recesses on the gas cell
and the window retaining ring.
2. Place the gas cell window against the O-ring located on
the body of the gas cell, and secure the window by
attaching the window retaining ring.

NOTE: Many IR windows are made of hygroscopic materials.
Use lint-free gloves or finger cots when handling them. Do not
expose windows to “wet” solvents. Store them in a desiccated
environment.
