o

Tips, Advice, and Reminders:
You may use traditional photographs, photocopies, or computer printouts. If you are
using an actual photograph, ask your parents’ permission before using any family
photos in the album. They may not want their only picture of Great-Uncle John
glued to construction paper and brought to school.
Select photos that you know you can describe in Spanish. If the story behind a
particular photo is too long and complicated, it’s probably not a good choice. Keep in
mind the vocabulary that you already know. You can always look up a new word or
two, but you don’t want to have to look up the entire caption.
Choose photos that show people doing things. Avoid pictures of people just standing
and looking at the camera. Find interesting photos.
Watch your verb and adjective agreement! Remember to make adjectives feminine
or plural if you need to. Remember to conjugate the verb to match who you’re
talking about. Remember the difference between gusta and gustan.
The album is your chance to show what you have learned in Spanish this year;
therefore, it should be written entirely by you. Do not use a computer to translate
your sentences—they will not come out correctly. A student who uses a computer
translation will have to rewrite the project themselves or take a failing grade.
You do not have to spend money to make this album. I’ve seen lovely albums made
just with white paper and markers. Use what you have and be creative!
