Based on the Carteret County Tax records you are listed as the owner of the above
referenced property. Town Staff had major concerns with the condition of the deck
structure and walkway leading to the three stand-alone slides on the southeastern
portion of this property. On February 1, 2016 the Chief Building Inspector of
Carteret County and myself did a visual inspection of the structure. Numerous safety
and code issues were present and immediate danger to life safety exists. Because of
this, this structure has been posted unsafe notice
The following shall be immediately implemented as protective measures:

All ingress and egress of the structure shall be secured/barricaded

No person shall occupy any portion of this structure
This situation needs your immediate attention. We are requiring an application for a
building permit to be filed with the Town of Emerald Isle for review by the Carteret
County Inspections Office. Once approved, the Town will issue the necessary
permits for you to begin repair. It will be in your best interest to contact Chris Jones,
