ATAKILTE BEYENE is a researcher in rural development studies specialising in governance of
natural resources, livelihood systems, and food & energy security in Africa. He has also carried out
research on migration and livelihood systems in semi-urban area of Ethiopia. He also coordinated an
interdisciplinary research network.
