Indian Summer (2012) pattern kit, by Judy Niemeyer (required). The pattern kit, which includes the paper‐piecing pattern sheets and cutting templates, makes a quilt up to 60 x 69 inches. To make a 72 x 82 quilt or an 82 x 93 quilt, you will also need one (1) package of Indian Summer 2012 Extra Foundation Sheets. To make a 103 x 114 quilt, you will need two (2) packages of Indian Summer 2012 Extra Foundation Sheets. 
Fabrics: Pick your own fabrics. Yardage requirements are in the pattern on page 12. If you are making a size that requires the Extra Foundation Sheets, yardage requirements are on page 2 of the instructions that come with the Extra Foundation Sheets. o If you need yardage requirements before your pattern arrives, email me at [email protected] and indicate which size you plan to make o Look at samples on the Judy Niemeyer website for ideas about fabrics: http://www.quiltworx.com/patterns/indian‐summer/ 
Regular presser foot (not a quarter‐inch foot with the flange on the side). You need a presser foot that lets you see the lines you will be sewing on. I use an open‐toed appliqué foot, but any foot that lets you see where the needle is going will work 1/4‐inch presser foot for putting the quilt together. A neutral thread, such as a light or medium gray, is preferred Sewing machine needle: 80/12 Microtex Sharp is preferred Rulers – 6 x 12 or 6‐1/2 x 12‐1/2 is satisfactory. An Add‐A‐Quarter ruler is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED, but not required. If you do not have an Add‐A‐Quarter ruler, please bring a short, narrow ruler, with a clearly‐visible quarter inch mark A sheet of template plastic. You will use this to make cutting templates and your folding card A pair of sharp scissors to cut paper. You will be cutting a lot of paper. A pair of fabric scissors Flat‐headed pins (essential) If you wear reading glasses, bring them, please Rotary cutter with a sharp blade, and mat Seam ripper A supply of sealable plastic bags, such as Ziploc or Baggies, 1‐gallon size, although you may want a few smaller bags for scraps. You need at LEAST two 1‐gallon bags, but I recommend four. And it’s useful to have a large bag dedicated to keeping the entire project together 
