Step 1 Project time does not include drying time for the candy wafers. Step 2 Mix crumbled cake and frosting in a medium bowl using the back of a large spoon, until thoroughly combined. Step 3 Roll mixture into 10 cake balls and place them on wax paper–covered baking sheet. Reshape each ball into a skull or light bulb shape using your fingers. You can slide the bottom of the skull shape on wax paper to help flatten the bottom side. Step 4 Place two sugar eyes rounded side down in position for sockets. Press into the skull shape and then remove. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for about 15 minutes in the freezer and then transfer to the refrigerator. You want the skull shapes to be firm but not frozen. Step 5 Melt about half of the bag of Marshmallow White Candy Wafers in a microwave-safe plastic bowl, following the instructions on the package. The coating should be about 3 inches deep for easier dipping. When you are ready to dip, remove a few shaped cake balls at a time from the refrigerator, keeping the rest chilled. Step 6 One at a time, dip about 1/2 inch of a pop stick into the melted Marshmallow White candy wafers and insert the stick straight into the bottom of the skull shape, pushing it no more than halfway through. Dip the cake pop into the melted Marshmallow White candy wafers, and tap off any excess. Place in a Styrofoam block to dry. Step 7 When dry, use the Black edible-ink writing pen to draw on eye and nose sockets. Then draw on shapes for the teeth and let dry. Step 8 Melt about 2 oz. of each of the colored candy wafers listed under supplies in small microwave-safe plastic bowls. Use toothpicks dipped in melted wafers to dot and draw different colors on the front of the cake pop. Dot on colored teeth so the Black appears to outline the coating. Attach Yellow stars in the center of the eye sockets with melted coating. Draw on swirls, hearts, dots and mustaches with the colored candy wafers to decorate. Draw on more detail with the Black edible ink writing pen and let dry completely in a Styrofoam block. 2/2 Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
