Kexxtone has 12 tablets of of monensin compared to 10 in Rumensin. This gives it 32.4 grams of monensin instead of 32 grams. Kexxtone has a more prolonged action than Rumensin CRC. The wings on Kexxtone are slightly longer and the plastic appears to be more solid. These changes should reduce the amount of boluses we see that are “spit” out by the cows. Kexxtone boluses are as effective as Rumensin CRC boluses. The packaging is a different color (bright yellow) but they come in the same size box and use the same gun to administer them.
