this is used for executing instructions
it stores the data as long as power is supplied
secondary storage which stores the data independent of power
supply
it is permenent storage

Answer ROM and RAM are both primary storage. The difference is that ROM is read only memory which the computer uses to start up, and RAM is the chip memory (also reffered to as internal memory) which is used to store memory quickly and temporarily, it loses its information when the power is shut off.

Secondary storage is more or less permanent memory (like a harddisk) it saves your data as long as you don't delete it.
