Leadership and the value of difference

Leadership and the value of
difference
Working with a diverse team of people with different perspectives on the best
way of doing things can be challenging to say the least.
This second event in our leadership series will give you the rare opportunity to
hear the honest and personal reflections of two very different senior leaders on
the value of difference in shaping and delivering projects. They will share what
they learned about themselves and about leadership through working together
to transform the identity of the Highways Agency into Highways England
Key speakers at the event are:
Peter Adams Major Projects Executive Director,
Highways England
Peter Adams is responsible for the government’s strategic
major roads programme including delivery of the smart
motorway and complex infrastructure programmes. Prior to
joining the Highways Agency as divisional director for Major
Projects in southern England, he worked for 20 years in
engineering and project management roles in BAA and for 3
years in Thames Water developing their asset management
strategy and business plan.
Vinita Hill (Head of Roadworks and Asset
Investment Division), Highways England
Vinita is responsible for a new roadworks and assets
investment division within Highways England Major Projects.
She lead the project to determine the new image and identity
of Highways England and has expertise in change
