Our award-winning Little Explorers Tot and Preschool Nature Program is full of
exciting opportunities for children to discover the wonders of nature during their
developmental years. Each lesson is seasonally appropriate and introduces youth and
their families to ways of learning about nature and the outdoors. Become a Little
Explorer at the Essex County Environmental Center and enjoy crafts, stories and a
variety of outdoor adventures!

Where do things grow in nature in the spring? How can we help?
May 25…Dirt: The Scoop on Soil
Dirt and soil-are they the same? Let’s explore what lives in dirt and what lives in soil.
All children must be walking and accompanied by an adult. Paths cannot accommodate strollers. Please prepare for wet conditions.
Maximum of two children per adult; all sessions are limited to fifteen children. There are no refunds for missed or cancelled classes.
