Winter! What a great time of the year. We are going to celebrate winter with a vivid verb winter poem. You will write
an acrostic poem on a winter subject of your choice. An acrostic poem is a poem in which the first letter of each line of
the poem spells a word going down the page horizontally.
Step One
Select the topic of your poem. You may select a winter image, something outside in nature, a holiday, or a favorite
winter memory to use as your inspiration. Write down the word(s) that represents your topic below. Remember that
the letters in this word(s) will be the start of each line in your poem.

Write a good copy of your poem on computer paper. Decorate the area around your poem with pictures/ drawings
