Registration for Fall Ongoing
We are currently planning for September. The registration process is ongoing for the 2017-2018 school year. If you or anyone
you know is planning on registering your/their child at Kars on the Rideau P.S. this fall, it would assist us with our planning if you
would visit the office to complete the registration ASAP. Our office hours are 7:30 a.m – 3:30 p.m. Please bring Proof of Age
(i.e., birth certificate, passport) and Proof of Address (ie: driver’s license, utility bill).
2017-2018 School Year
Our staff will soon be preparing class lists for the 2017-2018 school year. If your child will not be returning to Kars on the Rideau
P.S. in September , please contact the school as soon as possible. Please see attached for the letter that was sent home with
students on April 18, 2017.

School Climate Survey
The OCDSB is administering the OurSCHOOL Survey to pupils from Grade 4 to 8 again this year. KOTR students from grade 4
to 8 should have brought home the attached information in hard copy this week. This school climate survey (formerly Tell Them
From Me or TTFM) takes place between April 24th to May 12th. For your convenience, the information letter is attached, along
with the Notice of Non-Consent form for those who prefer that their child(ren) not participate.
Toilet Paper Fundraiser
This spring the Kars on the Rideau School Council is launching a new and profitable fundraising initiative with a twist. We are
offering for purchase (and for sale to your family, friends and colleagues) top quality, Canadian-made and environmentallyfriendly toilet paper. Please see attached for additional information.
Deadline for orders and payments : May 5th, 2017
