3. CONTENT
Provide the following:
• Text
- Headline: short and to the point, listing the product or service
- Sub headline: call to action or a benefit to the reader
- Bullet points: list of services, guarantees, a reason to respond to the ad
- Contact information: for most service oriented advertisers phone and
website is all that is needed. Location can be relevant for restaurants. Fax number is irrelevant at this level of advertising.
• Photos and logos (high resolution: 300dpi), JPEG, TIFF, PSD, PDF
or EPS format
- Photos should be relevant to business
- Portraits should be quality digital photos (not from a cell phone camera)
- Native (original) files are optimal for logos and photos. (Do not place images in a Word document.)
4. TYPOGRAPHY
• Most bulletin advertisers prefer a conservative selection of fonts. - Helvetica, Arial, Times, Garamond.
• One way to create a unique look is to select a different font for the headline.
- Each font has a personality. Make sure it complements the brand.
- Be sure to email the native font files along with your ad
• Hot tips: 7pt. is minimum type size. Use black for any type under 10pt.
5. COLOR
• Colors should be harmonious with company brand.
• Reinforce concepts with colors that evoke feelings and associations.
