like to learn more about West Park, here are some suggested next steps to help you
get connected.

ANNUAL MINISTRY MEETING | Sunday, June 25
Our Ministry Report will be presented on June 25 as part of the service in the form
of a video presentation. The business part of our Annual Ministry Meeting will
happen in the Chapel following the service when we will vote on the approval of
Rick Scrimgeour, David Larmer, and Bruce Scott as new elders and the re-election of
Brian Furtney. In addition, we will vote on the proposed 2017/18 budget and
approve MAC LLP Chartered Professional Accountant as our auditor for
2016/17. Copies of the 2016/2017 Ministry Impact Report, the proposed 2017/18
budget and the meeting agenda are available at the Info Centre. If you have
questions about the budget, one of our elders or staff will be available at the Info
Centre after church.
CELEBRATE RECOVERY | Wednesday, June 21 at 7:00 PM
What can I expect on Sundays at West Park?
What are your services like?
We offer three worship services at 10:30 am, one in English, one in Mandarin, and
one in Spanish.
What is there for children?
During our worship services, we provide loving care and an engaging experience for
kids from birth through grade 5. Please take your child(ren) upon arrival to the Kids’
Registration Centre to check them in for KidsWalk.
A Parents’ Room is available for those with restless little ones. There is a monitor so
that you can still enjoy the service and some toys to occupy your children. Our
ushers would be happy to point you in the right direction.
What is there for Jr. High?
Most Sundays, Jr High students are dismissed to go to the youth room around
10:55. There they will watch a short clip of the previous week’s sermon from the
main service. Here students get Bible teaching, small groups, games, a chance
to make new friends, laugh, grow spiritually together, and sometimes have
free food!
Need Prayer/Got Questions?
Today, Derek Reid, one of our board members, will be available at the front of the
auditorium after the service to pray with you. Our elders are also available by email
during the week at [email protected] should you need prayer or counsel.
“WHERE’S WALDO” (aka Pastor Charles) What was I up to last week?
Worked on plans for the second floor renovation. Great elder’s meeting.
Special thanks to Dan Bird and Derek Reid for serving as chair and co-chair
this past year. 12 total meetings. Some good relationship building time with
staff. Spent time on a long term mission/vision/values communication plan.
Loved seeing our students lead our service last week under John Faris’s
good leadership.
We are in the preliminary stages of launching a new ministry called Celebrate
Recovery. If you have had any experience, knowledge, involvement in secular
recover programs, or simply have a heart for helping people be set free, we invite
you to this information session. To register, contact Pastor Neil by email
[email protected] or 519-471-7460 x205.
