We hope to help you feel more comfortable and allow space for questions. October 18 Structure and Schedules In this session, you will learn how physical structure, routines, and visual schedules can be used to teach, help create a more predictable environment and promote independence for your child. November 15 Simple Behavioral Strategies In this session, you will be provided with four strategies for your behavioral tool belt for those moments of “What do I do now?” January 17 Teaching on the Fly In this session, you will learn how to naturally use everyday activities to encourage language and social skills development. February 21 Help Me See What You Are Saying Come learn visual ways to help your child anticipate new events as well as problem solve in a tight spot! April 18 Bending without Breaking Flexibility is something most individuals on the autism spectrum struggle to learn. Sometimes, routines or rules they follow are so strong they interfere with their ability to learn or participate in family life. In this session, you will be provided with general ideas you can use at home to help your child become less rigid and more nlexible. Classes will be held from 6:30-7:30 pm at Brazos Valley Rehabilitation Center (located at 1318 Memorial Drive, Bryan, TX 77802).
