C-ZOL
C-ZOL is an air barrier insulation panel composed of a THR expanded polystyrene panel laminated to a non-woven
polyolefin membrane. The membrane is coated on one side with a water vapour permeable emulsion. This product
is designed and used for exterior insulation of above-grade walls
CARACTÉRISTIQUES ET AVANTAGES
Full thermal value guaranteed – The Fransyl Izolon
expanded polystyrene keeps the same insulating properties and performance over time, for at least 25
years, even if the product’s molecular structure is deformed.
Eliminates thermal bridges – The panel is ship lapped
on all four sides, which prevents air from infiltrating
between the panels. Also, for residential buildings,
panels measuring 4’ x 9‘ and installed vertically help
to cover the top slate, bottom wall slate and floor belt,
which eliminates thermal bridges in AIR BARRIER in
these areas.
Captive gas; 98 % air and 2 % plastic– Formula used
for more than 50 years, does not contain any CFCs,
HCFCs or Formaldehyde and no gas that can affect
the ozone layer. Furthermore, this gives the product
advantageous characteristics including its lightness
lightness and ability to maintain its R-value.
Air barrier – The non-woven polyolefin membrane
coated with a water vapour permeable emulsion protects the building by preventing outside air from penetrating the building while allowing the continuous
moisture contained in the walls to exit the building.
Mildewproofing – The EPS is composed of materials
that do not promote the growth of bacteria such as
spores and mushrooms.
Easy installation – C-Zol is light, easy to carry and can
be cut easily on site using an all-purpose knife.

The product must be covered within 120 days
of its installation.
RESTRICTIONS
Expanded polystyrene is sensitive to certain
acids, solvents and petroleum-based derivatives. It is thus important to avoid all contact
with these solvents and their vapours. Contact your technical representative for product
compatibility.
