Most nouns add –s – table/tables, tree/trees. Nouns ending in –sh, -ch, -x add –es to make it easier to pronounce – box/boxes, ash-ashes, church/churches. Nouns ending in a vowel then y just add –s – key/keys, boy/boys. Nouns ending in a consonant then y change the y into an I then add –es – army/armies.
