Note 1: We are having FIVE Orem Jive showings and TWO Riverton Jive showings, so I strongly
recommend securing desired tickets early.
Note 2: All Orem students will dance in every Orem showing; however, certain Orem students
will also be dancing in both of the Riverton showings.

A professional DVD will be available for purchase (preorder required, information coming soon).
If you choose to do your own videotaping, it will have to be during dress rehearsal.
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of practicing at home. The quality of dancing will improve
so much. But even more importantly, the dancer will feel confident and prepared for this event.
All tickets must be purchased from the Covey Center for the Arts, which provides easy online
purchasing availability and you get to choose your seats, which also means you won’t have to wait in
lines between shows.
Please remember that you will need to purchase tickets for any dancer that plans to sit in the audience
after they perform. If you have a bigger group that would like to sit together, I suggest that you buy your
tickets ASAP to make that possible, as all tickets are on a first come first serve basis. Also, a reminder
that no tickets are required for the Thursday, May 18, 2017 Full-Dress Rehearsal.
For all five showings, ticket prices will range between $5 and $10 per seat. There will not be a service
charge for tickets purchased in person at the Covey Center Box Office (Open Monday to Thursday 10
AM to 6 PM and Friday 10 AM to 2 PM).

Orem Rehearsal:
For dancers and parents new to Jive this year, the dress rehearsal on Thursday, May 18 can be long, but
makes it so that the concert performances run smoothly and gives each participant the ability to feel
comfortable and prepared in a large professional theater environment. The actual showings on Friday
and Saturday are just over one hour long. The theater needs me to explain that either for safety or
cleanliness of the theater, the following cannot be allowed in the Covey Center for the Arts:

Helpers:
Glitter of any kind
Putting makeup on in the hallways, theater seats, or public bathrooms areas
Eating or drinking in the building
Children wandering anywhere in the building without parental supervision
Every year I depend on mom’s helping out in the dressing rooms of the younger dancers. Please watch
for signup sheets posted at the studio. Thank you in advance for your help. It would be impossible to put
on this show without so many of you awesome parents who are willing to spend a little time helping in
