Kenosha Area Sports Planner

Welcome
to the Kenosha Area, where you’re sure to find a Winning Game Plan for your sporting event!
Conveniently located between the metropolitan areas of Chicago and Milwaukee, our convenient location, first-rate
facilities and knowledgeable Sports Sales Team make the Kenosha Area an easy choice. Over 1,000 hotel rooms are
available in the greater Kenosha Area, with more than 2,000 additional rooms in neighboring communities.
The Kenosha Area is home to two major college campuses and the largest municipality owned indoor recreation
facility in the United States. Carthage College and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside have both undergone major
expansions recently, vastly increasing their capability to host major sporting events and tournaments. Both feature
massive fieldhouse, swimming pools, tracks and ball fields suitable for most any sport. The RecPlex is a one-of-akind, multipurpose facility, located inside Prairie Springs Park and on the shores of Lake Andrea, a 110-acre springfed lake. The RecPlex includes an Ice Arena and Aqua Arena. The Kenosha YMCA organizes such events as a 5K/10K
Run and bicycle races.
Surrounding these major facilities you will find a number of additional sites available for sporting events. From the
conventional to the unique, the Kenosha Area has a venue for your event. Whether your events are local, regional or
on a national scale, just give our Team a call! We will assist you with:
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
Coordination of site inspections and collect information on various facilities.
Secure proposals from the venues that meet your criteria.
Secure proposals and room blocks from area hotels.
Arrange for site inspection at area hotels.
Assist in the bidding process.
Recommend local businesses and organizations for services and sponsorships.
Provide free information (Visitors Guides, maps and other literature) to your participants and guests.
We wish you and your organization continued success! We look forward to hearing from you!!
