Calliopi was an amazing Section Leader and really helped to clarify the material and provide some cohesion to all the readings,
lectures, and assignments. She was always very accessible outside of class to provide helpful feedback on essays or to simply
answer any burning questions about the Byzantine Empire.

I loved Calliopi, she was so nice and I thought she did a really good job giving section some structure. Her comments on my
papers weren't always super helpful or easy to understand but overall I really like having her as my TF!

Calliopi was an excellent section leader and a great tour guide to the Byzantium! Her excitement about the Empire and its cast
of characters brought the primary source material to life for students. Also, she was always accessible through e-mail and
responded promptly with answers to my questions about written assignments.

Calliopi was such an effective section leader! She was actually one of the best discussion leaders I've ever had, and was always
helpful with any questions I had. I wish all my TFs were like Calliopi!

Calliopi is the sweetest TF ever. She is so helpful during section and so willing to meet with students outside of her office hours.
Definitely very good at generating enthusiasm, but again, I wish her grading had been a bit harsher and more critical so I could
have improved more.

Calliopi was great at explaining confusing historical events because she is a measured speaker, and very encouraging of
questions. Also, she was extremely generous and understanding of my situation as a latecomer to the class. She grades
generously as well--her comments are usually one-word interjections of praise, which don't do much in the way of improving
your writing, but this isn't really a writing course. Her feedback when you email her regarding about your ideas is much better,
so if you want suggestions, email her! She's awesome. Thanks, Calliopi!
