Find your inner elf
It’s easy to take part – whether you
go all out and dress up in festive attire,
or simply bake some delicious
Christmassy treats – there’s plenty
of ideas in this pack to help make sure
your Elf Day’s a success!
What’s in this pack?

Make sure you advertise your event
and get everyone involved.
(We’ve left a space at the bottom
of the poster for you to write the
date of your Elf Day).

Scrooge Pass
There’s always one office Scrooge
who avoids the Christmas fun at all
cost! Well this year everyone can get
involved and raise money for
Alzheimer’s Society with our new
Scrooge Pass. For just a small
suggested donation of £5, each bah
humbug colleague can get their very
own Scrooge pass to place upon their
desks to opt out of the festive fun.
(At no point can anyone broach
any Christmas related topics with
someone holding a Scrooge pass. If they do, they then must make their
own donation to Alzheimer’s Society).

Hosting an Elf Day is a great way
to get friends, family or colleagues
together to celebrate the festive
season and raise vital funds for
Alzheimer’s Society.
Due to my generous donation
to Alzheimer’s Society, Christmas
is out of bounds in this area.
What should I do on Elf Day?
Chief Elf badge
You’ve done the hard work setting up
your Elf Day, now it’s time to get
some praise. Wear your badge with
pride, knowing you are doing your
part to help people affected by
dementia.
Elf yourself and dress to impress
Get creative and encourage others to
dress as an elf (or other festive character)
and donate to Alzheimer’s Society.
Paint your nails in an elf theme, wear
an Alzheimer’s Society elf mask or even
try some elf make up.

We have a range of resources online to help you with your fundraising, including:

Instructions
1 Print out on thick paper.
2 Colour the mask.
3 Carefully cut-out the mask
including holes for the eyes.
4 Gently punch out the orange holes either
side of the mask and add some elastic
string. Secure the string with clear tape.
5 Alternatively attach to a lolly stick or
pipe cleaner.
Eat like an elf
Who doesn’t love a buffet and an
elf-themed one gives you an excuse
to go crazy. Think candy canes,
elf-shaped cakes and anything red
or green. You could even try making
some elf-cocktails.
Bake-off, elf-style
Create a cupcake or cookie
stand filled with lots of nice
things to decorate them with –
edible glitter, chocolate, fruit,
sweets, cream and icing sugar –
compete to see who can
decorate theirs the best and
don’t forget to get a donation.
Test your elf-knowledge
Want to raise more money – why not hold an Elf Day quiz with everyone
paying to enter? You can download our Elf quiz at alzheimers.org.uk/elfday
Elf Olympics
How quickly can your team decorate a Christmas tree? Who can wrap a
present the quickest? Who can get the most marshmallows in their mouth at
once? Or who can create the longest paper chain in 10 minutes? These are
just a few suggestions! Pay to enter and give a prize to the overall winner.
Elf-up and get sponsored
Let friends, family and colleagues know you will dress as an elf on a trip to
the shops, to a local restaurant or for the whole week, but only if you reach
your fundraising target. You will soon start to see the sponsorship flooding in.
