WEEKLY THEMES & FIELD TRIPS
Field trips are OPTIONAL for campers entering grades 2nd‐5th (Green & Blue group) and MANDATORY for campers entering grades 6th‐8th (Camp 2950). All‐camp field trips are scheduled on Wednesdays only. In addition the
weekly Day Camp fee, most field trips are $25 per child, per trip if paid before 6/10/17. After June 10, most trips are $35. **Due to the higher cost of certain field trips, the trip fees for Knott’s Berry Farm & Raging Waters will be
$35 Early Bird & $45 Regular Rate. There will be no field trip registration after Monday @ 6pm prior to the trip due to limited availability. No additional trip fees for Camp 2950 (included in the registration fee). Register for
field trips in person or over the phone beginning March 6. Space is limited. There will be a fun‐filled day of themed activities for all campers not attending the weekly field trips!

Stranger Things Tempest Free Running Academy, Hawthorne Discovery Cube & Hansen Dam Aquatic Center, Sylmar Get ready for a thrilling week of hands‐on activities and experiments, as we learn how fantasy can become reality. Campers can expect guided shenanigans as we trudge through an
exploration of mythical creatures and imagination. This science fiction ‐themed week of camp will shock and inspire you...you won’t want to miss how STRANGE things can be!
Past, Present & Future Hiking @ Will Rogers State Park, Pacific Palisades Knott’s Berry Farm, Buena Park **[Price: $35 Early Bird, $45 Regular Rate] Journey through time from the comfort of your favorite summer camp and explore a variety of different eras and places. Our time machine
has recently been tuned up and is ready for our camper travelers. Only time will tell what new adventures await this summer!
Battle of the Bands! Six Flags Magic Mountain, Valencia Movie @ Howard Hughes Center (“Cars 3” or “Despicable Me 3”) Enjoy a variety of music, dance and games this week of camp. Come with a list of your favorite songs/bands and help us create our own band names. Don’t worry
about your musical skills...we’ll be hosting a fierce “Battle of the Air‐Bands” at the end of the week. This is sure to be an EPIC week of rocking out with your peers.
Arrgh! Treasure of the Jolly Roger Kayaking @ UCLA Aquatic Center, Marina Del Rey Tide Pools @ White Point Beach & Pt. Ferman Park, San Pedro Ahoy mateys! Embark on a grand voyage at Palms Park and join our crew for a week of pirate fun! Take part in buccaneer themed games, crafts, and songs,
not to mention search after the long lost treasure of the Jolly Roger. Batten down the hatches and drop sail! You will not be disappointed, young laddies.
Ga‐Ga for Game Shows! Movies @ 3rd Street Promenade (“Spider‐Man: Homecoming”) Gable House Bowl & Laser Storm Laser Tag, Torrance Take home various prizes as you compete in your favorite game shows and board games from past & present! Campers & staff will play modified versions of popular
TV game shows like Family Feud, Wipeout, Minute to Win It, Iron Chef & Deal or No Deal! Everyone’s a winner, but do you have what it takes to win it ALL!?
Atlantis Underwater Adventure NextGen Games & La Brea Tar Pits, Los Angeles Raging Waters, San Dimas **[Price: $35 Early Bird, $45 Regular Rate] This week is all about the advanced underwater civilization of Atlantis. You may encounter mermaids, sharks & artifacts while discovering the tales of this lost utopia.
Of course, no Underwater‐themed week would be complete without some WET, WILD, & WACKY water games as we find plenty of ways to beat the summer heat.
Medieval Palms Redondo Beach & Pier John’s Incredible Pizza, Buena Park Lower the drawbridge and discover what lies only in myth & legend. Join us for medieval crafts, games, and fare of the castle in this all‐time camp favorite!

S is for Sports & Spirit! Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, Valencia Mulligan Family Fun Center, Torrance How many sports can we fit into a week? Let’s find out as we wear ourselves silly with as many games and spirit‐filled activities as we can! Campers will be split
into spirit teams and will compete in fun‐filled events all week. Your team is counting on you! Come join the enterntainment in this final week of summer camp.
